Haven really wouldn’t be the same without the meet Seaside Squad.
We have been coming twice a year for the last 10 years and it is our absolute favourite. definitely havens jewel in the crown. The staff are absolutely amazing, what a team of lovely people you have. In particular the greeter in his hut by the entrance! Just really welcoming and made us laugh daily on our way out and on route back into the park with his banter! Such a genuinely lovely guy.
After a 3.5hr trip up the A1 we were not dissapointed, got a premier plus caravan and it was simply beautiful! (44 kielder court). It was like new and really made our stay extra special. We had a lovely quiet spot and it was only 5 mins walk to the sites own sheltered beach, or 10 mins to the town! Can definitely recommend an evening walk down the coastal path and lots of ruins to explore.
Lots to do in the area, walks, coastal towns and beaches within a 30 min drive include Eyemouth (Scotland) where you can feed the wild seals in the harbour!, cocklawburn beach, bamburgh with its beautiful castle and dunes, seahouses, Beadnell bay, holy island, lindasfarne. Each time we come we are reluctant to leave.... See you again next May!
After shielding this was my fist solo trip away from home for some much needed change of scenery and it did not disappoint. I was a little apprehensive about staying away but as soon as I reached the site that just faded away. Check in was very easy with me having pre registered my car registration. My accommodation was very clean and welcoming and the view was simply stunning; I couldn’t have asked for more. The mini mart was very well stocked with excellent customer service and the few questions I did have during my stay were answered very promptly by the team at Berwick. I visited the on-site restaurant for coffee and although there were restrictions in place (outside dining only etc) it was well managed with a nice atmosphere.
I took my 2 dogs with me and each day we went to local areas and walked for miles, if walking is your thing then you’ll be in heaven. Bamburgh beach is a short drive away, as is Seahouses. From the park you can follow the coastline into Berwick itself which is a lovely walk and the town has lots of coffee shops, restaurants as well as interesting historical features.
I cannot recommend the holiday park enough, I will definitely be back.
